The story of the Aves collection

Elena Najdovska is a contemporary jewelry brand founded in 2022 in Paris. It develops a practice rooted in anatomical research, sculpture, and jewelry design, using 925 sterling silver and bird bones adapted to human morphology. Each piece is conceived as an anatomical extension of the body, a meeting point between the organic and the symbolic. The project is driven by reflections on life, bodily memory, disappearance, and transformation.

The first collection, entitled Aves, offers a comparative study of bird anatomy through jewelry made from digitized bones such as the furcula, digit bone, and quadrate. Each bone comes from a different species and is transformed into wearable pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings, while preserving its original shape. This approach reveals the universality of biological structures and their poetic and symbolic potential when transposed onto the human body.

Methodology & Craftsmanship
The creative process is based on an artisanal and technological production chain, combining scientific rigor.

Bone Selection
The models are sourced from scientific databases of museums around the world and selected for their species specific morphology.

Digital Modeling
The 3D models are digitally resculpted using ZBrush to fit specific areas of the body, such as the neck, finger, or wrist, without altering their anatomical structure.

3D Printing
The redesigned models are printed in castable resin, enabling highly precise and faithful casting.

Casting & Finishing
The pieces are cast in 925 silver (RJC - Responsible Jewellery Council certified) then they are soldered, hand polished and hallmarked with a master mark.

Packaging
Each piece is delivered in a custom designed wooden box, both as a presentation object and for long term preservation.
